Crocodile Kruger Safari Lodge is widely regarded as one of Africa’s best-kept secrets overlooking the Kruger National Park. We thank you for affording us the opportunity to make your wedding one that you have always dreamt of.

Our Lodge is situated in the sheer natural beauty of flora and fauna in what we call the “bushveld “. Our highly trained attentive team at Crocodile Kruger Safari Lodge has what it takes to make your day a resounding success.

Please take your time to read our wedding portfolio thoroughly. We have attempted to cover as much ground as possible in the attached pages, but please feel free to ask as many questions as you would like, in order to set your mind at ease. We understand fully that the perfect wedding has many variables, and is always emotionally charged. It is for this reason that we try to make each one as individually tailored as possible.

Introduction

We have a standard, professional way of running the weddings but are open to suggestions and will do what we can to give you the wedding you have dreamed of. We cater for small weddings up to maximum 50 people.

Your reception should be one to enjoy, with our venue tastefully decorated and our staff carefully trained to provide you and your guests service excellence, and a night never to be forgotten.

Please be advised that we do not book any weddings over respective long weekends or special functions and events such as the local private schools festivals and the 3 weekends over Christmas and New Year period. The first two weekends of December and the last 2 weekends of January are available to host your wedding.

 

 

Wedding Venue

Deposits : To secure your booking, a non-refundable deposit is required (up to 50 pax maximum). 

Option 1 : 0-30 pax R5,500.00
Option 2 : 30-50 pax R7,500.00

In order to secure our venue for your wedding day we require the non-refundable venue hire (deposit) Please note that until the venue hire is paid in full for your desired date, it will not be confirmed.

Should you need to change your date less than four months before your wedding, an additional R2, 500.00 booking deposit will be charged, as it will be unlikely to re book that date at such short notice. Any booking changes prior to four months in advance will be at no charge to you.

Please note that on cancellation, you will forfeit your venue hire deposit. 

VENUE HIRE OF CROCODILE KRUGER SAFARI LODGE INCLUDES:

  • Use of the Lodges public areas (air conditioned and ceiling fans)
  • Physical set up of venue
  • Adequate parking and Security Guard
  • Dedicated bar
  • 6 x 1.8m round tables
  • 6 x 3m round table clothes
  • 1 x 2x3m rectangular table clothe
  • 1 x 1.8m trestle table
  • 50 x Ancona chairs
  • 50 x Chair covers - velvet
  • 50 x Champagne glasses
  • 50 x Wine glasses
  • 50 x Zombie drinking glasses
  • 6 x Ice buckets
  • Our General Manager will be in attendance to ensure high levels of management and faultless service.

Hiring Requirement

The above standard equipment and furniture is included in the venue hire fee. Should you require more exclusive and up-market equipment, our wedding coordinator will put together a quote to suit your style and budget. 

Waiter and Barmen services will be charged at an additional R35.00 per staff member per hour. We suggest a minimum of 1 waiter for every 15 guests (ideal 10 guests) and 1 barmen for the duration of the function. Over and above this staff, our full complement of management staff, as mentioned earlier, will be in attendance, to ensure service excellence, at no additional charge. Breakages and damages will be charged at the respective items replacement / repair cost.

Accommodation

Crocodile Kruger Safari Lodge comprises of 10 en-suite bedrooms, sleeping approximately 20 guests depending on sleeping arrangements.

The Honeymoon Suite is complementary to the Bridal Couple on the night of their wedding when reserving all 10 rooms. Should all the rooms be used by your wedding guests on the Friday night and Saturday night, a further two double rooms will be included in your package, on a B&B basis, free of charge, for the bridal couple’s parents or your chosen special guests for the Saturday night. Please note that this relates to rooms that have 2 guests only.

Additional accommodation is available in close proximity to Crocodile Kruger Safari Lodge and we will help you to accommodate all your guests. Please ask the reservations to recommend accommodation close to Crocodile Kruger Safari Lodge. 

Our "check – in" times are 14h00, with the rooms to be vacated ("check-out") by 10h00 on the day of departure.

Evening Weddings

Option 1
We require you to book all 10 rooms for the Wedding night (1 night).

This includes the following:

  • Accommodation and Breakfast the following morning (R650.00 pp) Single supplement R200.00.
  • By taking this option you will have total exclusivity of the Lodge for the evening.

Option 2
We require you to book all 10 rooms for the Friday and Saturday nights

This includes the following:

  • Dinner, Bed & Breakfast Accommodation Friday (R580.00 pp) Single supplement: R200.00
  • Accommodation on Saturday (R500.00 pp) Single supplement: R200.00
  • Breakfast on Sunday
  • By taking this option you will have total exclusivity of the Lodge for both evenings.

Option 3
We require you to book a minimum of 6 rooms for the Friday and Saturday nights. 

This includes the following:

  • Accommodation and a 3 course dinner on Friday (R685.00 pp) Single supplement: R200.00
  • Breakfast and accommodation on Saturday (R550.00 pp) Single supplement R200.00
  • Breakfast on Sunday

By taking this option you will not have total exclusivity of the Lodge and outside visitors will be allowed throughout the weekend. By taking this option, the guests that are not part of the wedding party, have to be taken into consideration and noise levels kept to an acceptable level. No loud music (DJ’s) will be allowed on a Friday night when taking this option.

When paying for single supplement, you will be charged the normal sharing rate plus the single supplement.

  • Rooms are only confirmed once a 50% deposit is received. All accommodation deposits are non-refundable.
  • Please be advised that a wedding exceeding 20 pax, all accommodation is required to be reserved by you and your wedding guests for the Wedding day.
  • Please be advised that when having an evening wedding, all accommodation is required to be reserved by you and your wedding guests for the Wedding day.

Brunch Weddings

We do not require you to book out any accommodation. However Guests are to depart form the Venue by 14h00 to allow for overnight stays to be accommodated. If you are wanting to book out accommodation it must be done so in advance to secure the rooms.

Lunch Weddings

We require you to accommodate a minimum of 5 rooms for the Wedding night. The rate for these rooms will be R550.00 pp sharing including breakfast. R200.00 single supplement.

Times

The time that you wish to start your wedding proceedings is at your discretion.

Brunch Weddings to close at approximately 15h00pm, with the Ceremony beginning between 9h00am and 10h00am.

Lunch Weddings to close at approximately 18h00pm, with the Ceremony beginning between 11h00am and 12h00pm (Midday). A Service fee of R550.00 per hour, or part thereof, will be charged after the above two closing times. Should your party continue past midnight, the service fee from midnight will be adjusted to R1 000.00 per hour or part thereof.

Evening Weddings should the reception go past midnight, an additional service charge of R600.00 per hour or part thereof, will be calculated up until the function room is vacated by all guests. The bar closes strictly at 02h00 and all guests have to depart by 03h00.

Music

Owing to the fact that the Lodge is situated in the Greater Kruger National Park amongst wildlife & residential farmland, we are unable to cater for music in this area. We are strictly a bush venue and are allowed a very limited noise level. Background music will be acceptable to the discretion of the Lodge Manager.

Account Information

We accept all major Credit Cards, Cash and Electronic Transfers. With Credit Card Payments, an additional 3% surcharge will be added to the bill.

A Service charge of 10% will be added to the total food and drinks bill.

NB. All prices quoted are excluding VAT and subject to change. Owing to the ever-increasing prices of raw materials, fuel, food and drink products, and changes in government and union policies on labour rates and hours worked per week, applicable to permanent and casual staff, we are unable to guarantee the prices quoted in this portfolio and therefore they may be subject to change, without notice.
